Every dog learns differently. Choosing short session can be rewarding and also help the dog learn. Using rewards and praise are only a part of the set-up sessions. Communication is key also. A reactive dog can learn with a trainer that experienced and thinks about how the dog responds and how the dog feels about change in the environment. A dog may do well on in area but not do so well in another area.
